RAHC spreads holiday cheer with Annual Community Engagement Program

In the true spirit of compassion and giving, Roxaco Asia Hospitality Corporation (RAHC) hosted its much-anticipated annual community engagement event, “Sa Yakap Ni Lola”, on November 19, 2024, at the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly in San Juan City, Metro Manila. This heartfelt initiative aimed to bring joy, companionship, and support to 76 elderly residents of the facility, exemplifying RAHC’s dedication to making a positive and lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.

The day began with a lively and energizing Zumba session, where both the elderly ladies (fondly called Lolas) and RAHC employees participated enthusiastically. The lighthearted atmosphere fostered a sense of togetherness, with both young and elderly dancing to lively tunes. Following the Zumba session, the group moved on to creative activities that allowed for personal expression and connection. Together, they made beautiful bracelets, necklaces, and headbands, with the grannies and employees exchanging stories and laughter as they crafted their pieces.

Adding to the warmth of the event, RAHC employees serenaded the Lolas with heartfelt songs, creating a magical moment filled with nostalgia and joy. The residents were also gifted with beautiful fresh flowers, brightening their day with their vibrant colors. In the spirit of true community bonding, the RAHC team joined the Lolas in a fun and heartwarming dance, further deepening the bond of companionship and care.

To make the day even more special, RAHC provided thoughtful Christmas gifts for each granny, carefully selected to bring comfort and joy during the holiday season. Healthy, nourishing meals were also served, ensuring that the grannies enjoyed not only a festive atmosphere but also a wholesome, delicious meal.

The leadership of RAHC played an active role in the event, with Area Operations Manager John Marc Salvador, Director of Sales and Marketing Roselle Reyes, and Finance Manager Glenda Portugal leading the team. Their presence at the event emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of care, compassion, and community involvement. Their personal involvement in the activities reinforced RAHC’s mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Roselle Reyes, Director of Sales and Marketing at RAHC, shared, “At RAHC, we believe that every act of kindness creates a ripple effect, and it is our privilege to bring joy and companionship to the Lolas this holiday season. We are proud to continue our tradition of community engagement, and we hope our efforts inspire others to join in spreading love and compassion. This is not just an event, but a meaningful way for us to give back to the communities that support us.”

This event marks the second year of RAHC’s annual community engagement initiative, which has become a cherished tradition. Each year, the company continues to expand and diversify its activities, always striving to deepen its connection with the communities it serves. RAHC’s ongoing commitment to giving back and creating positive social impact remains a cornerstone of its values.

With the success of “Sa Yakap Ni Lola” and other community initiatives, RAHC is excited to continue this annual tradition, looking forward to even more opportunities to uplift lives, strengthen relationships, and spread kindness in the years to come.

As the holiday season draws near, RAHC remains dedicated to spreading joy, kindness, and goodwill to those who need it most. By fostering meaningful connections and nurturing the bonds of community, RAHC is building a legacy of compassion and care.
