BingoPlus, BingoPlus Foundation, tops Masskara entertainment to support communities in Negros Region
BingoPlus, the country’s comprehensive digital entertainment platform, brought another wave of fun and support to the communities as it successfully delivered the “BingoPlus Day Masskara Music Festival 2024” on Sunday, October 22.
The BingoPlus Day Masskara Music Festival 2024 is a special day dedicated to bringing quality entertainment, exciting prizes, and an opportunity to extend help to communities in need. Aside from the booths and on-ground activities, the night was graced by performances from groups YML, VXON, and G22, the rock band Franco, and the couple KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde.
Highlighting the night was the BingoPlus Foundation’s social responsibility initiative, which awarded a total of 3 million pesos in support to three selected beneficiary communities based in the Negros Region.
“Just as BingoPlus has achieved so many great things, so has the BingoPlus Foundation. We bring people the fun they want, but the Foundation brings the care they need,” said Rafael Jasper Vicencio, President of AB Leisure Exponent Inc. (provider of BingoPlus).
One of the beneficiaries is the Cadiz Public Library, which received Php 500,000 dedicated to robotics and programming kits and training for public school teachers, inspired by a PAGASA weather system invented by one of their students that won a national competition.
The foundation also allocated Php 1,000,000 for the Indigenous People (IP) of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, for vision screening and eye care support. This grant is dedicated to the IP elders, who are the primary guardians of their communities and culture, and who continue to nourish the fields as farmers.
In addition, the foundation awarded Php 1,500,000 to the Valladolid District Hospital for surgeries and other critical operations for indigent patients. This grant will fund 20 hospital beds with complete accessories, 20 IV stands, 2 operating tables, 5 wheelchairs, and several other hospital equipment and apparatus. Due to this effort, a section of the hospital will be named the “PLUS Center for Accessible Healthcare,” marking the foundation’s ongoing commitment to bringing healthcare support in the province.
“While we carry out various programs nationwide, the Foundation always considers the unique local needs of each community. We hope the projects we have committed to, and the stories shared, make tonight’s event even more meaningful—to us and to the people of Negros. Much like the beloved MassKara Festival, we hope to continue serving Filipinos with a smile,” added Andy Tsui, President of DigiPlus Interactive Corp.
Joining Vicencio and Tsui in the awarding were DigiPlus Vice President of Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability Celeste Jovenir, and BingoPlus male endorser Piolo Pascual.
To add more value to the event, the BingoPlus Foundation installed a “Bingo sa Buhay” wall, where it displayed its programs, ongoing projects, and inspiring testimonials from supported communities.
BingoPlus and the BingoPlus Foundation remain committed to bringing smiles and support to the communities. The entertainment provided and grants awarded are just a few of the countless efforts and plans the brand has in store for communities in need in the future. It is indeed a testament to the brand’s motto: “Bingo sa Saya, Plus sa Panalo,” signifying the joy of winning in life through the support and pivotal impact it provides to the lives of its players and communities.
