MANILA, Philippines — Micahel Yang’s elder brother Tony, whose real name is Yang Jian Xin, is the “true architect” of their “operations,” according to Senator Risa Hontiveros.
Hontiveros made the pronouncement during a Senate committee on women’s probe into illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (Pogos).
“Matagal na natin nababalitaan si Michael Yang. Ang katotohanan ay bagamat mas kilala si Michael, si Tony ang sinasabing totoong architect ng operations ng mga Yang,” she said during the hearing on Tuesday, September 24.
(We have been hearing about Michael Yang for a long time. The truth is that although Michael is better known, Tony is said to be the real architect of the Yangs’ operations.)
Hontiveros even identified Tony Yang as the president of a service provider for a Philippine offshore gaming operator (Pogo) center connected to a Pharmally executive.

“A Pogo associated with Tony Yang, Oro One Corporation, lists him as President. Itong Oro One ay service provider ng Xionwei na alam natin na binaliktad na pangalan ni Lin Weixion alias Alan Lim ng Pharmally,” said Hontiveros.

“Ang email naman ng Xionwei — ginagamit ng isa pang Pogo — Brickhartz — na ang papeles ay nakita sa Bamban. Mukhang iisang network – o happy Pharmally – lang talaga ito,” she added.
(As for Xionwei’s email — used by another Pogo — Brickhartz — whose papers were found in Bamban. It looks like it’s really just one network – or happy Pharmally.)
Pharmally was the pharmaceutical corporation investigated by the Senate blue ribbon committee over alleged irregularities in government deals worth billions of pesos for COVID-19 response supplies despite having a paid-up capital of only P625,000.
Hontiveros then vowed to present the deeper connection between Tony Yang; dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo , whose real name is Guo Hua Ping; and Sual, Pangasinan Mayor Dong Calugay.
