MANILA, Philippines — Representatives of the Thailand Department of Information has recently visited the Philippines and met with the latter’s communication and public diplomacy agencies to enhance cooperation in news and information exchange, particularly in public relations strategy and practices in traditional and modern media, among others.
In a statement on Tuesday, Thailand’s agency said it visited Manila and Cebu from September 11 to 14.
During its visit, the delegation from the agency met with representatives from the Office of Public Diplomacy, Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, along with His Excellency Tull Traisorat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines, and the Presidential Communications Office.
“Both sides discussed the work of the agencies, best practices for public communication, especially communication management on sensitive issues, media relations, and anti-fake news management,” the department said.

Among the media outlets that the delegation met was the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Along with other media companies, they discussed the work of the media “especially the role and adaptation of traditional media during disruptive time.”
