Russian gov’t handsoff on West Philippine Sea conflict

MANILA, Philippines—The Russian government will not intervene in the dispute between Philippines and China regarding the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea).

Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Nikolav Kudashev said the Russian government is both a friend to the Philippines and China. But he said they if advice is needed by both countries, they are willing to give it.

Kudashev made the pronouncement during the port call of the Russian Anti-Nuclear Submarine ship “Admiral Panteleyev” in Pier 15 which will stay in Manila up to today (Friday).
