MANILA, Philippines — Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo suffered a stomach ache due to tap water, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said on Monday.
Guo, whose real name is Guo Hua Ping, has been detained at the PNP custodial center in Camp Crame since her arrest early Friday morning.
“Noong Sabado nag-complain po siya na medyo sumakit ang tiyan (On Saturday, she complained of a stomach ache),” Fajardo said in an ambush interview in front of the PNP custodial center.

“Nanibago po ata sa tubig dahil gripo lang po ang nandoon sa kanyang selda (She might be adjusting because her jail cell only has tap water),” she added.
Fajardo said Guo’s lawyer brought bottled water for Guo on Sunday.
As of Monday, Fajardo said Guo’s vital signs are normal after a checkup before being transported to the Senate.
