MANILA, Philippines — Wesley Guo, sibling of dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo, is not yet charged of any criminal complaints, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) clarified on Sunday.
PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio said that only the former mayor, her companions — Shiela Guo and Cassandra Ong — her supposed parents, among others, are facing various charges.
“Alam niyo si Wesley wala pa daw naisasampang kaso dyan, ang may kaso pa lang ay si Shiela si Alice at saka yung kanilang supposed magulang at yung tita ni Shiela. Si Wesley wala pa pong kaso,” Casio disclosed in a press conference.

(They have not filed any case against Wesley yet, only Shiela and Alice, their supposed parents, and the aunt of Shiela are facing complaints. But Wesley has no case.)
Last September 5, Atty. Stephen David, the Guos legal counsel, revealed Wesley’s intention to surrender to authorities.
David, however, refused to disclose additional details, citing client and lawyer privileges.
David added that Wesley no longer sees the essence of hiding, adding that he told his client there’s no need to hide.
Pressed to elaborate if he is coordinating Wesley’s surrender, David said it is being processed.
Based on reports, Wesley was identified as Cassandra Ong’s boyfriend. Ong is an incorporator of Whirlwind Corporation, which leased land to Lucky South 99, a Philippine offshore gaming operator that was raided in Pampanga last June.
Earlier, the National Bureau of Investigation revealed that Chinese national Guo Xiang Dian and Wesley are the same person. He arrived in the country in 1999.
Although there were no existing criminal charges against him, Wesley has an outstanding arrest order from the upper chamber for refusing to appear, despite due notices, before the committee on women’s hearing on July 10.
Guo, along with others, is facing a qualified human trafficking complaint filed by the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the PAOCC before the Department of Justice last June 21.
