BI says Alice Guo arrived in Indonesia despite missing exit records
MANILA, Philippines — Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo arrived in Indonesia last month, Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval confirmed on Tuesday.
Despite Guo’s absence in the country, Sandoval stressed that there are no records in the Bureau of Immigration database indicating her departure.

“If you look at our records inside our database, what we can say is that she is still in the country because there is no recorded departure of Mayor Alice Guo in the Bureau of Immigration,” she said in an interview with ANC.
“But upon confirmation with our foreign counterpart, we were able to gather that she has arrival [records] in at least three different Asian countries, which says that she might have left the country illegally without passing through the required immigration check,” Sandoval added.
Sandoval said that Guo arrived in Malaysia last July 18.

Article continues after this advertisement“[On] August 18, which was just the other day, they were able to travel to Indonesia via Batam Island,” Sandoval said.

In a statement on Monday evening, Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said they received intelligence information from their counterparts abroad that Guo illegally left for Malaysia and then flew to Singapore.
The official said the intelligence information that Guo left for Malaysia and Singapore “came from very reliable sources.”
