Microsoft outage continues to disrupt, cancels 46 flights in PH

MANILA, Philippines—The global Microsoft outage that hit computer systems worldwide continued to wreak havoc on flights at Philippine airports on Saturday, July 20, resulting in the cancellation of 46 flights.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported that several flights were canceled due to technical issues linked to the massive failure of Microsoft-based systems.

Budget carriers Cebu Pacific and Air Asia reported system issues because of the outage that resulted in global technological havoc on Friday, July 19.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines announced that they are preparing for a surge of passengers waiting at airports due to the incident.
The outage has forced airport staff to revert to manual check-ins, leading to long queues and further delays. This crisis has not only affected air travel but also disrupted train services, online banking, and even hospital operations in countries like the UK and the Netherlands.
