MANILA, Philippines — No, suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo was not homeschooled. She also did not grow up on a farm.

This was according to Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian who presented Guo’s school documents before the Senate panel on women, revealing that he and the embattled local official, in fact, studied in the same school.

I’ll show you the proof,” said Gatchalian.

(We were tipped off that apparently Guo Hua Ping or Alice Guo didn’t grow up on a farm. She was not homeschooled. She went to school, and I’ll show you the proof.)

For Grades 1, 2, and 3,” he added.

(Since her real name was revealed in the hearings, we found out that she studied in the same school as I did, Grace Christian High School. For Grades 1, 2, and 3.)

Gatchalian’s revelation contradicts Guo’s earlier claims that she was raised on a farm and was only homeschooled by a certain Teacher Rubilyn.

“Year 2000-2003.

(She wasn’t homeschooled by Rubilyn, she attended school. And I remember our school has no farm, it’s all buildings.)

According to Gatchalian, documents attached to Guo’s enrollment forms include an Alien Birth Certificate of Registration, which matches what was provided earlier by the Bureau of Immigration.

Along with the enrollment document is a birth certificate from China translated into English.

(It’s written here that her father is Jian Zhang Guo and her mother is Wen Yi Lin.)

The embattled local official skipped the Senate’s Wednesday probe on her alleged involvement with illegal Pogo firm Zun Yuan Technology, citing death threats and malicious accusations as the reasons why she is presently stressed and anxious.
