Pasig village chief, PMDC ink MOA to boost health programs for residents

Pasig City’s Barangay Manggahan Chairman Quin “KIN” Cruz inked a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with officials from a hospital in the city to improve health programs for the residents of the village.

Through tha MOA signed by Chairman Cruz and the Pasig Doctors Medical Center (PDMC) led by its President Dr. Mayumi Gillana during the country’s commemoration of the 126th Independence Day and PDMC’s 7th Foubding Anniversary. Barangay Manggahan was named as the adoptive barangay of PDMC which will strengthen the partnership between the private hospital and the village in implementing programs that will address the needs of the Pasigueños in the barangay when it comes to their health.

Cruz shared the PMDC’s role is important in the effective delivery of their health programs.

He added that they will also check how their partnership with the private hospital will help the Manggahan Health Promotion and Education Office led by Ms. Violy Oteyza and Kagawad Cedie Cruz.

Aside from the MOA signing, a medical mission was also conducted by the PDMC, offering free eyes, cyst, general and internal medicine, and OB Gyne consultations to the Pasigueños.

“Naway tayong lahat ay maging malaya sa sakit at karamdaman ngayong Araw ng Kalayaan,” Dr. Gillana said.
