MANILA, Philippines — No Filipinos were injured after a building collapsed in central Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last May 31, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said on Sunday.

DMW said its chief Hans Leo J. Cacdac received the report from the agency’s office in Jeddah after visiting the scene and nearby hospitals.

“Migrant Worker’s Office in Jeddah assures that they will continue monitoring the situation and staying in touch with the Jeddah police, medical, and emergency services agencies to ensure the safety of Filipinos,” DMW said in a statement.

Citing previous reports, the agency said that at least eight Filipinos were rescued from the collapsed structure last week.
