Condition of 5 Filipinos on turbulence-hit flight still being determined
MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Wednesday said it is still trying to determine the status and condition of the five Filipinos onboard a Singapore Airlines flight that encountered severe turbulence.
“The DMW’s Migrant Workers Office in Singapore is working closely with the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport authorities and airline officials to determine the five Filipino passengers’ status and condition,” said DMW in a statement.

The agency said it is concerned for the safety and status of the five Filipinos.
A British passenger died and over 70 were injured when a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight flying from London’s Heathrow Airport to Singapore encountered severe turbulence in the air.

Among the affected passengers were from the Philippines, based on the list given by the airline.
