MANILA, Philippines — Canada has revised its travel advisory against tourism visits of its citizens to Camiguin, Dinagat Islands, Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental, but maintained its warning for the rest of Mindanao.
Its updated advisory on Thursday no longer included Camiguin and Dinagat Islands among the provinces to avoid and eased its advice to “avoid all travel” to Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental, and instead advised against “nonessential travel” to the two provinces.

Ottawa retained its advisory against travel to the rest of Mindanao, except for Davao City and Siargao Island.
Travel to the rest of the Philippines was not discouraged in the advisory, but Canadian citizens were advised to “exercise a high degree of caution” due to risks of “crime, terrorism and kidnapping.”—DONA PAZZIBUGAN
