DMW says no Filipino harmed in Moscow concert hall attack

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirmed on Saturday that no Filipino was harmed in the recent attack on a concert hall in Moscow, Russia.

DMW officer-in-charge Hans Leo Cacdac said this in a post on social media platform ‘X.’

“We received information from Usec Ed de Vega of the @DFAPHL that no Filipino was hurt in the latest terrorist attack in a concert hall in Moscow. Our deepest sympathies and prayers for the families of the victims of the attack,” Cacdac said in the post.

In a report from Agence France-Presse (AFP), it said that more than 60 people were killed in the attack by gunmen that opened fire on a Moscow concert hall last March 22.

“The bodies of the deceased are currently being examined. It is provisionally established that more than 60 people died in the terrorist attack. Unfortunately, the number of victims could rise,” the Investigative Committee said, as quoted in the AFP report.
