Marcos to have bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Scholz
BERLIN, Germany — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has arrived here at The Chancellery (Bundeskanzleramt) where he will sit down for a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Mr. Marcos was accorded honors upon his arrival at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday (6 p.m. Tuesday Manila time).
He was accompanied by Speaker Martin Romualdez, foreign affairs secretary Enrique Manalo, trade secretary Alfredo Pascual, presidential communications office secretary Cheloy Garafil, Philippine ambassador to Berlin Susan Natividad, and foreign affairs assistant secretary for European affairs Maria Elena Algrabre.

Mr. Marcos will witness the signing of government-to-government agreements in Berlin – a joint declaration of intent on strengthening maritime cooperation and a cooperation program between the Philippines’ Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority and Germany’s Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
Article continues after this advertisementHe and the German chancellor will have a tête-à-tête and working lunch before addressing members of the Philippine and German media in a joint press conference.
In the afternoon, the President will grace several business meetings and the German-Philippine Business Forum before meeting with the Filipino community in Berlin in the evening.
