Rabies is endemic in the entire country and Philippines remains to be one of the highest rabies incidence in the world. As animal welfare advocate and champion for responsible pet ownership, Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club aims to address this crisis through its Pet Bakuna program.
Pet Bakuna, one of the four CSR pillars of Happy Pets Club, is a free anti-rabies vaccination drive which is regularly conducted in various Robinsons Malls. It was even made more easily available to bigger pet communities brought about by the partnership with Quezon City LGU’s Veterinary Department. Now, mass vaccinations are being held in Quezon City malls – Robinsons Novaliches, Robinsons Galleria and Robinsons Magnolia – empowering and engaging communities to do an active role in preventing rabies and being part of the solution.
What’s better is that this Rabies Awareness Month, Robinsons Malls Happy Pets Club and QC Veterinary Department has prepared a kick-off celebration dubbed as Vax In, Rabies Out! on March 7 at Robinsons Novaliches, putting emphasis on the value of strong awareness on the disease by conducting educational talks complemented by free anti-rabies vaccines available to all pets of Quezon City residents. On top of these, there will also be Pet Konsulta, or free vet consultation for pet owners who would like to ensure their furbabies’ health is in tip top shape; and Snip ‘en Snap, free spay and neuter procedures for pets of Quezon City residents- a process that will effectively prevent the overpopulation of strays in the city.
Pet owners will be delighted to know that there will be free express grooming to the first 100 pets to come to the event; games, pet bingo, raffle items and prizes that will be given away each hour to ensure that you and your pet’s mall visit is fun and memorable! Activities start at 10 AM while free pet services will be available until 4PM.
