MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday evening extended his congratulations to Brunei Prince Abdul Mateen and his wife Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah after attending their wedding, which was held on Sunday.

“We thank His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the gracious invitation to attend the Royal Wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen and Yang Mulia Dayang Anisha Rosnah binti Adam in Brunei,” Marcos said in a Facebook post.

“To the newlywed couple, Liza and I pray that your journey together be filled with a lifetime of love and happiness. May this union bring continued prosperity to the nation of Brunei.”

Other regional leaders also attended the royal wedding, including Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
