Bongbong Marcos heads back to PH after Asean-Japan meet

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. left Tokyo, Japan Monday night (7:15 p.m.) and headed back to the Philippines.

TOKYO, Japan — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. left Japan and headed back to the Philippines on Monday night (7:15 p.m.). 

Marcos wrapped up his four day trip in Tokyo for the Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of Asean-Japan Friendship and Cooperation. 

The Presidential plane left Tokyo at 7:16 pm.

On the last day of the trip, Marcos said that the Philippines secured investment pledges worth P14 billion.

Marcos and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also oversaw the exchange of a memorandum of cooperation for their country’s respective Coast Guard and environmental agencies. 

During the Asean Summit, regional leaders have jointly called for peace and a rules-based order amid rising territorial tensions in the Indo-Pacific.
