MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri on Thursday said 37 resolutions submitted by member-countries participating in the 31st Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) were already referred to respective APPF committees.

Speaking to the press in a briefing, Zubiri said all participating parliaments have submitted resolutions on political, security, economic, and trade matters, as well as regional cooperation.

These resolutions will then be discussed in the plenary and in working groups over the next three-day span of the APPF.

According to Zubiri, the breakdown of the resolutions referred is as follows:

Zubiri said similar measures will be consolidated and combined.

“Lahat ng APPF kasi, they only adopt more or less a handful –maybe about five or six – pinakamarami na ang eight resolutions. So definitely, since there’s so many members that have filed resolutions on strengthening parliaments to support peace and stability, maglalabas yan ng one common resolution for all,” Zubiri told reporters.
