MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine government on Monday welcomed the third batch of Filipino repatriates from war-torn Israel — 25 of them, including an infant, Toby Nebrida, spokesperson of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), told reporters on Monday.
In a separate statement, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) 22 of the repatriates are female and three male. Most of them — 17 in all — worked as caregivers and the remaining eight were hotel workers.
“Our compatriots from Israel will receive financial assistance, skills training, and others from various branches of the government, to help for their return to the country,” OWWA said in Filipino.
