POEA chief replaced by former labor department exec

MANILA, Philippines–Philippine Overseas Employment Administrator (POEA) chief Carlos Cao Jr. was formally replaced Monday morning by former Labor Undersecretary Hans Cacdac.

Cacdac formally assumed the post in turnover rites at the POEA which Cao did not attend, said Department of Labor and Employment spokesperson Nikon Fameronag.

He said Cao begged off because he had to attend to his wife at a hospital.
