Trend Micro’s annual cybersecurity conference Decode returns with theme ‘Resilience Rising’

Trend Micro Philippines is back with its free-for-all annual cybersecurity conference this November 14, 2023. Continuing their efforts to bring together cybersecurity professionals and students from around the globe and living up to their motto “Engineered To Do Good,” this year’s conference is titled DECODE 2023: Resilience Rising.

With the ever-evolving digital threat landscape fueled by new technologies, techniques, and tactics, it is essential that cybersecurity leaders and practitioners are armed with the latest technology and best practices for maximum resilience.

Now on its seventh year, DECODE 2023: Resilience Rising is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever. From last year’s DECODE, titled ‘Detect & Respond,’ where keynote and panel sessions were focused on the key processes in identifying and addressing cyber threats, this year’s conference will highlight and challenge attendees to better understand cyber risk management, data security, infrastructure, human capital, and operations to ultimately strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

Attendees can look forward to 24 different track sessions featuring Trend Micro Threat Researchers and Cyber Adversary Monitoring Researchers from around the globe on generative AI, automotive hacking, cloud vulnerability and data breaches, and can also expect discussions on complex cybercrime cases to be led by various local and global law enforcement agencies.

DECODE 2023 will also see keynote sessions with esteemed members of Trend Micro’s Forward-Looking Threat Research team and panel discussions with representatives from FBI, Interpol, and local industry leaders who will share their experience and expertise.

Aside from the track sessions and panel discussions, attendees will be free to participate in various track sessions, including “Get IT Girl!,” and partake in an intensive Hands-On-Lab training and Capture the Flag Challenge. The activities aim to augment the cybersecurity skills gap by improving participants’ investigation skills and response time, and ultimately amplify the existing expertise of participants.

Since DECODE’s last fully face-to-face conference in 2019 this year’s conference will be the first to be held fully offline, allowing attendees to broaden their networks, build connections, and interact with guest speakers and panelists live. With a full day of activities and panel discussions ahead, the conference will surely be an exciting opportunity for all its participants.
