MANILA, Philippines – Ten leading women entrepreneurs from the Philippines have been lauded for their exceptional contributions across various industries at the prestigious AWEN Awards held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The awards, organized by the Asean Women Entrepreneurs’ Network (AWEN), shine a spotlight on the best in female entrepreneurial talent in the Asean region.

AWEN serves as a critical platform for businesswomen in Southeast Asia, promoting the exchange of knowledge, experience, and fostering trade and economic activities.

Its primary objective is to bolster entrepreneurial skills among women in the Asean community.

Representing the Philippines in this endeavor is the Philippine Women’s Economic Network, Inc. (PhilWEN), which acts as the official AWEN Focal Point for the nation.

The Philippine awardees recognized at the event include Leah Cariñgal of Green Bulb Public Relations, Inc., Karla Reyes, COO of The Plaza Catering, and Rosario Juan of Commune Cafe. Also among the honored are Myren Garcia of MBCI Events and the Network for Enterprising Women (NEW), Jocelyn Mamar of John and Marga Nursery Farm, and Chef Rhea SyCip of The Flour Pot Manila and The Fatted Calf Farmhouse Kitchen.

Other Philippine representatives celebrated at the AWEN Awards are Mary Grace Dimacali of Mary Grace Cafe, Lisset Laus Velasco of Lausgroup of Companies – Global Cars Philippines, Inc., Anna Lagon of BAYO, and Angeline Tham of Angkas.
