No ban on Chinese group trips to PH, says embassy

MANILA, Philippines — Chinese group travel to the Philippines is not prohibited, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines stated on Friday.

The Chinese Embassy clarified this to INQUIRER.net after China’s recent move to lift group tour restrictions on several other countries such as the US, Japan and the UK.

Quoting a previous Department of Tourism statement that cited China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Chinese Embassy said that the Philippines is included in its pilot areas for outbound tourism group tours which was released back in January 2023.

“No ban for PH,” the embassy said.
