Bongbong Marcos leaves for state visit to Malaysia

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday afternoon departed for his state visit to Malaysia.

Fresh from his State of the Nation Address (Sona), the Chief Executive will visit Malaysia from July 25 to July 27.

He will be joined by several members of his Cabinet, including Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo.

According to Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) spokesperson Teresita Daza, Marcos will be seeing Malaysian King Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

“President Ferdinand R. Marcos and First Lady Ma. Louise Araneta-Marcos were invited by the King of Malaysia to undertake a state visit to the country from 25th to 27th July 2023,” Daza previously said.

Marcos will also hold talks on possible bilateral trade investment opportunities with Malaysian business leaders.
