MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte met with the ambassadors from Chile, Canada, and Singapore during a courtesy call, said the Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Wednesday.
The OVP said that during the meeting, the envoys expressed that they “want to strengthen their respective country’s relations with the Philippines.”
Duterte expressed her gratitude towards the different countries for their treatment of Filipinos.
For Canada, the Vice President thanked Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines David Bruce Hartman, for including the Philippines in the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program.

Meanwhile, Singaporean Ambassador to the Philippines Constance See Sin Yuan expressed her thanks for the 200,000 Filipinos living, studying, and working in her country.
“Filipinos stood by us, stood in solidarity in the fight against COVID,” See Sin Yuan said.
According also to the OVP, Chilean Ambassador Alvaro Jara Bucarey said that his country is planning to strengthen relations with the Philippines.
