Ukraine Embassy in Malaysia Counsellor Denys Mykhailiuk announced the planned visit on Wednesday.

When asked when the visit would be, he replied: I’m talking summer in the calendar terms, so, June, July.”

Mykhailiuk, however, said that creating an embassy in Manila will depend on their financial capacity.

“The only obstacle is the budget restrictions. You know we have enormous and unexpected spendings this year. Majority of them are going to the defense,” he said.

“We do hope that it will be happening before the end of this year,” the counselor added.

Mykhailiuk is in Manila for a four-day visit. He talked to officials of government agencies, including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of National Defense.
