As the world copes with the challenges of climate change, Robinsons Malls continues its unwavering commitment to amplify awareness and do its proactive part in caring for the environment. One of its sustainable efforts is the support for Earth Hour, a yearly global movement championed by the World-Wide Fund (WWF) in 2007 to encourage people to turn off non-essential lights for an hour.
This year, Robinsons Malls all over the country are joining hands again for Earth Hour on March 25, 2023, as they lead communities to join the global movement for environmental protection and conservation. Robinsons Malls has long supported the campaign and is gearing up for a night of meaningful activities to celebrate the event extending into the weekend.
On top of this annual event, Robinsons Malls continues to work unrelentingly on different sustainability initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint and promote a greener lifestyle for its customers. With its solar panel installations, water recycling facilities, solid waste management programs, Electric Vehicle charging stations, and various mall energy-saving features, Robinsons Malls remains at the forefront of creating positive and lasting impact to the environment and to the communities that it serves. Recently, Robinsons Malls in partnership with the La Union local government donated construction materials for a trash segregation shed and fruit and vegetable seedlings in support of the LGU’s solid waste management and livelihood program. It also forged a collaboration with URC for its Juan Goal for Plastic program to help reduce the volume of plastic that go to landfills.
On March 25 and 26, participate in the biggest hour for Mother Earth by switching off non-essential lights for an hour or more. Come and visit Robinsons Malls and be part of meaningful environmental programs including the Plastic Exchange drive in tandem with URC and Robinsons Supermarket at Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, Robinsons Las Piñas, Robinsons Starmills, and Robinsons Manila. Witness an exhibit of Recyclable Art Pieces in Robinsons Butuan and Robinsons Bacolod, join the Recycling Market at Robinsons GenSan and Robinsons Tagum and support the Trash to Cash Drive at Robinsons Malolos, Robinsons Starmills, and Robinsons Angeles. To make your visit more fun and memorable, the Quezon City Performing Arts Group will perform at Robinsons Galleria, an Earth Hour Parade featuring LED Poi dancers, LED Robots, and Neon Drum Beaters will be at Robinsons Manila, Robinsons Magnolia, and Robinsons Antipolo. Other activities the whole family can enjoy include Poster Making, Night Fun bike, and Freedom Wall Painting at Robinsons Mall Santiago, Peace and Freedom Dance and plant giveaways at Robinsons Ilocos and Robinsons Tuguegarao.
