Japan to send team for oil removal, control after oil spill in Oriental Mindoro

MANILA, Philippines — Japan will send a team to help the Philippines in its efforts to remove and control oil following the oil spill in Oriental Mindoro.

According to Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko on Wednesday, they have coordinated the support efforts with the Philippine government.

“JCG (Japan Coast Guard) oil control experts are on the way!” Kazuhiko posted on Twitter.

“In coordination with the PH government, Japan will send a Disaster Relief Expert Team on oil removal and control to support on-going efforts in response to the oil spill in Oriental Mindoro, We are one with you in these trying times,” he added.
