Marcos tells Zelensky: We are with you in your search for peace
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Philippines is one with them in their “search for peace.”
In a phone call with Zelensky, Marcos said he told the Ukrainian president that he, along with the Filipino people, admires the “bravery and nationalism” Ukraine has shown amid the war with Russia.
“I had the pleasure of talking to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday. I told him that we in the Philippines are watching with admiration, the bravery and the nationalism that has been displayed by the Ukrainians during this crisis,” Marcos said on Tuesday in a Twitter post.
“And that we join in his effort to reach a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in his country. Mr. President, we are with you in your search for peace,” he added.
