Both the Philippine and Japanese flags were hoisted in several streets of Tokyo’s Minato and Chiyoda Cities, as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is expected to arrive on Wednesday evening for a five-day state visit to the said country.

TOKYO, Japan — Philippine and Japanese flags can be seen hoisted along several streets of Tokyo’s Minato and Chiyoda Cities, as Japan anticipates the arrival of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for a five-day state visit.

Photos taken on Wednesday showed flags raised along Kokkai-dori Street and other adjacent roads, displaying the two flags waving side by side.

Both the Philippine and Japanese flags were hoisted in several streets of Tokyo’s Minato and Chiyoda Cities, as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is expected to arrive on Wednesday evening for a five-day state visit to the said country.

Marcos is expected to arrive at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday (Tokyo time).  He will then meet with several of Japan’s leaders including members of the Imperial Family and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.
