BANGKOK, Thailand — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said Thursday that the way to regain the people’s trust is to perform as it is the “best politics.”
During the question-and-answer portion of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) CEO Summit here, Marcos was asked about how to rebuild trust efficiently.
“In the political context, the way to earn trust is to perform. The best politics – I always say, the best politics is [to] perform. Because it’s something that cannot be taken away from you and it is something that actually makes a difference in people’s lives,” he answered.
“Perform and you will get the trust back of the people and that is what we all – all politicians and I’m sure even people from the business side – is what we strive for,” he continued.
Meanwhile, in his speech at the Apec CEO Summit, Marcos pushed for food and energy security, climate change mitigation, and continuous reinforcement of global health systems against infectious diseases.
