A sequel to PTAA’s Bigas Kalinga Part 2 Project

Last October 29, 2022, while some of us were cozying under blankets with a warm drink in hand, PTAA President, Ms. Michelle Taylan, braved the storm to fulfill her promise to her members: a Part 2 of the “Bigas Kalinga” project. 

Back in 2021, during the height of the pandemic, Taylan spearheaded Bigas Mula sa Puso where she distributed a total of 300 sacks of rice as a help to her fellow tourism workers,   hoping that this simple act of kindness can spark joy and enkindle hope in the seemingly endless dark time. Later on, PTAA also followed suit with a similar project called “Bigas Kalinga sa Panahon ng Pandemya” which distributed sacks of rice all over NCR and the Rizal area.

This time around, for part 2 of Bigas Kalinga, Taylan and her team are distributing 25-kilo sacks of rice per member company. Despite the inclement weather, grateful members showed up with warm smiles and overflowing appreciation. 

Gifts aren’t appreciated on how big or luxurious it is, Taylan wishes that the thought, love, and effort that was put in this project leaves a mark on the members’ hearts. Taylan is set to end her term as the President of the Philippine Travel Agencies Associations on a victorious note as the biggest and grandest PTAA Travel and Tour Expo is on the works, happening on Feb 3-5, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center, offering irresistible deals and huge discounts to aspiring travelers.
