MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Consulate in Geneva has advised over 300 overseas Filipino voters with no registered or incomplete address to inform the post if they would prefer to claim their election packets physically or have it mailed to them.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the consulate said Filipino overseas voters “who have incomplete addresses or indicated their address as c/o the Philippine Mission/Philippine Consulate in Geneva are advised to contact oavgenevapm@gmail.com as soon as possible to indicate their preference to either claim in person their election packets/ballots or have these mailed to their registered address.”

Voters who wish to update their respective address for the delivery of election packets were told to submit a written request to the consulate with the following documents:

In an earlier advisory, voters who will cast their vote via mail are reminded to return their ballots by April 25 “to allow sufficient time to mail and return the ballot to the Consulate General before May 9 2022 (polls close at 5 o ‘clock PM).”

Another advisory from the consulate urged voters to “take the opportunity to cast their vote early” and to “strictly follow election rules, proper decorum, and health protocols on social distancing while at the Chancery.”

Filipino voters were likewise advised to contact oavgenevaom@gmail.com for election-related concerns.

Overseas voting began on April 10 and will last until May 9. Filipino voters abroad may only vote for national candidates, namely president, vice president, 12 senators, and a party-list group.

They will vote either by mailing their ballot or personally casting their ballot at 93 Philippine diplomatic posts overseas.
