MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-one Filipino seafarers from Ukraine will arrive in the Philippines on March 8, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The DFA, in a statement, said the 21 Filipino crew members of M/V S-Breeze will arrive home via Philippine Airlines PR659.
The seafarers earlier arrived in Moldova amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. From Chisinau, the Filipinos were transported to Romania where they arrived on Friday.

According to DFA, they were evacuated from the M/V S-Breeze, a bulk carrier that has been on dry dock for repairs at the Ilyichevsk Ship Yard in Port of Odessa, Ukraine since January 27.
Meanwhile, the department also said that 13 out of the 31 crew members of Star Helena crossed the Moldova border on Thursday and were evacuated from Chornomorsk through the Honorary Consul in Moldova.
The agency said the 13 seafarers are currently awaiting their repatriation.
