Super Typhoon Odette struck many parts of Visayas and Mindanao last December 2021. This storm brought devastation to many Filipinos within those areas. With little to no access to everyday essentials such as water, electricity, and food, help was very much needed by those affected by the calamity.
Residents and stakeholders of RLC Residences were not spared from the same fate. The Property Management Offices (PMO) of RLC Residences’ Cebu-based projects took responsibility for the relief initiatives intended for its homeowners and property employees.
Providing Assistance to Residents
Located in one of the most affected provinces, Azalea Place and AmiSa Private Residences in Cebu suffered damages from the typhoon’s onslaught, significantly affecting the development and the lives of its residents and employees. In the hopes of helping them recover from this, the Cebu Property Management Office immediately worked alongside its Manila counterpart and sought the assistance of its sister companies to secure and ship the needed supplies in the province.
Through the help of Universal Robina Corporation, food, drinking water, and rubbing alcohol supplies were provided as part of the relief packs distributed to all residents and employees. On the other hand, Cebu Pacific provided assistance by ensuring that all these supplies would safely reach the province.
With electricity also cut off due to the typhoon, the Property Management Office also worked alongside Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, through Cebu Pacific, to supply the diesel needed for the properties’ generator sets.
Apart from these relief efforts, the Property Management Offices of each property led the clearing operations to immediately free up the typhoon debris and repair damages. To ensure that the welfare of the residents is continuously taken care of, they also organized daily unit owners’ meetings to learn about the status and concerns of every resident because of the typhoon.
Efforts for Buyers Affected by the Typhoon
Aside from Cebu, other provinces also suffered greatly from Typhoon Odette. While many are still recovering and in the process of getting back on their feet, RLC Residences decided to also lend a hand to buyers affected by the storm.
The developer recently announced that it will waive all penalties and interests incurred for late payments starting December 16, 2021, to January 31, 2022. This initiative is offered to property buyers in typhoon-stricken areas, including Cebu, Bohol, Negros, Surigao, Siargao, Iloilo, Samar, Leyte, and Palawan.
RLC Residences and its Property Management Offices are continuously working to assist the residents, buyers, and employees during this time of recovery. The developer hopes to be of service to their stakeholders and continue to be their partner in having beautiful homes where they can live their best life.
