Canada, Saudi Arabia placed under PH’s ‘red list’ until Jan. 31
MANILA, Philippines — Canada, Saudi Arabia, and several other countries have been added to nations under the Philippines’ “red list,” Malacañang said Friday.
Cabinet Secretary and acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said that according to Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 157-B, the following countries will remain or will be placed under the “red list” from Jan. 16 to 31, 2022:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Aruba
- Canada
- Curacao
- French Guiana
- Iceland
- Malta
- Mayotte
- Mozambique
- Puerto Rico
- Saudi Arabia
- Somalia
- Spain
- U.S. Virgin Islands
Nograles also announced that the IATF has allowed the entry of all Filipino travelers. However, they are still subject to testing and quarantine protocols.
Previously, only Filipinos returning to the country through government-initiated or non-government-initiated repatriation and Bayanihan flights may be allowed entry subject to the prevailing entry, testing, and quarantine protocols for countries under the “red list.”
Green list
Meanwhile, Nograles said the following countries will be placed under the “green list” from Jan. 16 until the end of the month:

- Benin
- Bhutan
- British Virgin Islands
- China
- Ivory Coast
- Djibouti
- Equatorial Guinea
- Falkland Islands (Malvinas)
- The Gambia
- Ghana
- Guinea
- Hong Kong
- India
- Indonesia
- Japan
- Kosovo
- Kyrgyzstan
- Montserrat
- Morocco
- Niger
- Oman
- Pakistan
- Paraguay
- Saba
- Saint Barthelemy
- Senegal
- Sierra Leone
- Sint Eustatius
- Taiwan
- Timor Leste
- Uganda
Countries, territories or jurisdictions that were not mentioned are considered “yellow list” countries.
