PH bars travelers from Faroe Islands, Netherlands
MANILA, Philippines — The government’s pandemic task force has barred travelers from Faroe Islands and the Netherlands from entering the country from Nov. 16 to Nov. 30 after placing them on the list of “red” countries at high risk for COVID-19.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases also included Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which host a significant number of Filipino workers, in the list of “green” countries whose fully vaccinated travelers may skip quarantine as long as they present a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before their arrival in the country.
Fully vaccinated Filipinos may also opt to stay in a quarantine facility until the release of a negative result of their COVID-19 tests taken upon their arrival. —Leila B. Salaverria
