MANILA, Philippines — Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana signed in Madrid on Thursday an information-sharing agreement with Spain’s Centro National de Inteligencia (National Intelligence Center) that involves the protection of classified information in the field of defense.

As part of an official visit, Lorenza met with Spain Defense Minister Margarita Robles and other officials and reaffirmed their commitment to further enriching the two countries’ defense industry collaboration, increasing student exchanges and exploring other areas of possible defense cooperation.

Lorenzana is also set to visit the International Defense Industry Exhibition 2021, one of the largest military equipment trade fairs in Europe. —JEANNETTE I. ANDRADE
