CEMEX Philippines Foundation supported the Kapuso School Development project of GMA Kapuso Foundation in the reconstruction of a three-classroom structure at Mabini Elementary School in Panganiban, Catanduanes, which was heavily damaged by typhoon Rolly in November 2020.

CEMEX Philippines Foundation, the company’s corporate social responsibility arm, provided 600 bags of cement that went towards the reconstruction of a three-classroom structure at the Mabini Elementary School, which was heavily damaged by typhoon Rolly in November 2020.

The reconstructed classrooms will benefit the local school community allowing them to have a conducive learning space to ensure quality education. The new structure was also designed to be more climate-resilient; being able to withstand natural disasters like earthquakes (up to intensity 8) and typhoon winds (up to 300 kph).
