Overseas voter registration extended for two weeks — Jimenez

Make sure all Filipino seafarers can vote in 2022 election, Comelec told

MANILA, Philippines — The overseas voter registration for 2022 national elections will be extended for two more weeks, Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson James Jimenez announced on Wednesday.

“Registration of overseas voters is extended for two weeks — Oct. 1 – 14,” Jimenez said on Twitter.

Jimenez noted that the overseas voter registration will push through despite the filing of certificate of candidacy on October 1 to 8.

“Note that for overseas voting, the filing of COCs is not an issue, thus, the extension starts immediately,” he added.

For local registrants, the extended voter registration will be from October 11 to 30.
