To provide its customers more experiential activities in the mall, Starmills opened the Yard, Pampanga’s newest fitness and outdoor recreation facility. The Yard is an impressive five-hectare property in the rear parking area with a dedicated one-hectare bike trail with humps and jumps as high as two meters.
The Yard also features a 500-meter jogging lane and skating areas for both inline and skateboarding. The Pampanga Skateboarding Society brought in safe, usable obstacles to keep things exciting. The blessing and ribbon-cutting happened last Sept. 18, 2021, with a ceremonial bike ride on the picnic grounds. Robinsons Starmills officially opened the bike trail, RC car track, jogging lanes, and skating areas, together with an organized selling exhibit featuring sports partners and food booths.
The celebration continued in the evening with Chill Nights at 6 p.m. Kapampangans enjoyed local street foods, such as Apung Susa’s fishballs, chicken balls, dynamite, chicken skin, penoy, siomai, tokwa’t baboy, and the iconic balut. Drew’s shawarma was also be available, along with MG Food Products’ nachos, tacos and coffee, and beers and cocktails from JJ Concept. Local singer-comedienne Ara Muna performed on opening night.
