Special flights for stranded Pinoys in Middle East

/ 05:08 AM July 10, 2021

The government’s pandemic task force has authorized the conduct of special commercial flights to bring home Filipinos stranded in Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other countries subject to travel restrictions.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) created a special working group (SWG) to determine the protocols for the special commercial flights, in coordination with the concerned airlines.

The IATF said the commercial flights would be exclusive to Filipinos and passengers should have prior approval from the SWG. —Leila B. Salaverria
