It is his turn to enjoy eternal peace
He is being welcomed into a new world
As his toils on Earth cease
Recently, I sent my thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Phyllis Hamilton and her family on the death of her husband, Lowell Hamilton of Greenville, Ohio. He was also the father of Lynn Hamilton who is married to Tess, a Filipina. While my mom met Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Hamilton on several occasions long before I knew them, my first recollection was at CJ Highmarks Restaurant when I was about 10 years old. I was new to contributing articles to the Daily Advocate Newspaper which they read and they took the time to talk to me about my writings.
While others may remember Lowell Hamilton as a great entrepreneur that owned and operated Hamilton Motors for 62 years, as a veteran of the US Army or as a community philanthropist … to me he was this grandfather-like individual who took the time to converse with a young person like a mature adult. A few minutes of what seemed to me genuine words of encouragement and support to continue to write meant a great deal — as I continued my journey to explore the “powers of the pen”.
My readers and NaFFAA family, INQUIRER.net, Mega Scene, American-Asian Tribune, Daily Advocate, County News On-line, The Early Bird, Darke Journal, and others have been wonderful and welcoming to this young voice, and for that I will eternally be thankful. You are extending me a sense of worth that is making a difference in my life. It is my wish this Christmas that kids around the globe get validation in their lives to spur them to take a leap and pursue their passions.
