No new COVID-19 cases reported among overseas Filipinos — DFA
MANILA, Philippines — No new cases of COVID-19 were recorded among overseas Filipinos, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Sunday.
With no new cases, the total number of Filipinos overseas who are infected by COVID-19 remains at 19,720.
This number includes 6,537 active cases, 12,004 recoveries, and 1,179 deaths.
COVID-positive Filipinos are found in 94 countries around the globe, according to the DFA.
Of those infected, 11,284 are in the Middle East and Africa, 3,966 are in the Asia-Pacific region, 3,522 in Europe, and 984 in the Americas.

Meanwhile, Health officials earlier reported that the Philippines’ total number of infections is at 1,216,582 cases. This includes 53,614 active cases and 20,722 deaths as of May 29.
