12 more overseas Filipinos infected with COVID-19 — DFA

MANILA, Philippines — Twelve more Filipinos abroad have tested positive COVID-19, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Thursday.
No new deaths, however, were reported.
As of April 28, a total of 18,325 Filipinos living abroad have been infected by COVID-19, based on DFA’s latest report.
This number includes 5,947 active cases as well as 11,233 recovered patients and 1,145 fatalities.
The DFA received reports confirming 12 new COVID-19 cases, 13 new recoveries, and no new fatality among Filipinos abroad. To date, the total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos remains at 94.@teddyboylocsin #DFAForgingAhead#WeHealAsOne pic.twitter.com/7LZrrXozt7

According to the DFA, COVID-positive Filipinos are found in 94 countries, 10,453 of which are in the Middle East and Africa, 3,559 are in the Asia-Pacific region, 3,356 in Europe, and 957 in the Americas.
Meanwhile In the Philippines, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections reached 1,028,738 on Thursday, according to the Department of Health (DOH), while 942,239 are recovered patients and the death toll stands 17,145 deaths.
DOH said active cases as of April 29 were at 69,354.
