Chinese national mauled in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines—A Chinese national was injured after being beaten with a piece of wood by two men Thursday evening in Tanza, Cavite, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Friday.

Cruz Jr. said that Kaichong Li, 40, was struck by suspects Vicente Caramoan,58, and Alvin Baria,21, while inside their warehouse, hitting his head and different parts of his body around 7 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was brought to the hospital for medical treatment while the suspects were taken to the Tanza police station.
