MANILA, Philippines — The grave sites of four Filipino oil workers who were kidnapped and later executed by Islamic State (IS) extremists in Libya six years ago have finally been located, the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli said on Tuesday.
The embassy said the remains of Donato Santiago, Gregorio Titan, Roldan Blaza and Wilson Eligue were found in a cemetery in the eastern coastal city of Derna on Monday.
Embassy head of mission Elmer Cato said the Office of Migrant Workers Affairs (Omwa) had already informed the families of the four Filipinos about the latest development.
