MANILA, Philippines — Ten more coronavirus disease cases were recorded among Filipinos overseas, bringing the total tally of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases of Filipinos abroad to 12,300.
In a tweet on Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said 7,547 of the 12,300 total infections were from Filipinos living in the Middle East and Africa.
Meanwhile, no additional fatalities and recoveries were reported among Filipinos in other countries. This maintained the total number of recoveries at 7,997 and the total sum of deaths at 860.

The coronavirus disease has already infected more than 71 million people globally, according to the John Hopkins University’s virus tracker. Of this number, 1.5 million are deaths while 45.4 million are recoveries.
